Extremely friendly & accommodating staff! No problems at all, not confusing place, easy to find your way! Check in very speedy & easy! I definitely recommend flying in or out of OAJ airport in Jacksonville, NC anytime!
Nice looking but understaffed and overwhelmed, incapable of handling basic problems. Also have a KNOWN baggage issue that has been going on for a long time that the staff just accepts with no attempt to fix it or to advertise to customers what to expect.
I'm biased towards small airports, I guess, but I just checked my bag in in 5 minutes, thru security in 10 more. Comfy seats. Good experience. Beats flying into Raleigh and driving 2 hours for ease. (Also, you can choose the Fox or CNN seating areas... appreciated.)
I like the small size of the airport. The tsa is very efficient with screenings. The airport only serves 2 airlines American and Delta. if you want to go to phoenix for example on American you would always fly to Charlotte and switch over same for delta except you would fly to Atlanta. if you have a fear of flying then I don't recommend this airport because the planes that fly in and out of hear are very small.
